Raith Rovers boss Gary Locke has bolstered his squad with the addition of former Hearts and Kilmarnock defender Kevin McHattie on a one-year deal.
The Stark’s Park manager was on the look-out for a left-back with Rory McKeown set to move down south, and 22-year-old McHattie fits the bill.
Locke knows the player well having worked with him at Tynecastle and Rugby Park and he admitted he was delighted to add the former Scotland Under-21 player to his roster with Rovers due to report back for pre-season training on Monday.
The manager said: “I’m very pleased to be able to bring Kevin in.
“I know exactly what he’s capable of and it’s great we’ve been able to get him signed because I know he’s decided to come to us despite considerable interest from other top clubs.”
Locke has already added another former Kilmarnock player to his squad in the shape of Chris Johnston but admitted earlier this week that he is still on the hunt for two strikers.
