As first revealed in Saturday’s Courier, Raith’s veteran keeper David McGurn has now formally joined Cowdenbeath.
The 35-year-old spent last season on loan at Stranraer and has moved to the Blue Brazil in search of first-team football.
However, the Rovers fans’ favourite, who played over 200 times for the club, will be rewarded with a testimonial.
McGurn said: “I just wanted to thank the fans and the board for all their support, and in particular new manager Gary Locke who has been great with me over the last few weeks.
“I am also delighted that I will have the chance to say goodbye to the fans at Stark’s Park. I’m thrilled to announce that a testimonial match is to be organised for me.
“An independent committee has already been formed and is beginning its work to pull together arrangements for what’s sure to be an emotional night for me.
