England manager Roy Hodgson has resigned after seeing his team knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland. The national side suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the underdogs – who are ranked 34th in the world. England fans react in the fan zone in Nice. England had initially taken the lead thanks to a Wayne Rooney penalty kick, but Iceland’s Ragnar Sigurdsson equalised almost immediately. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson gave Iceland the win after sending the ball sailing past England keeper Joe Hart. Iceland will now face host country France in the quarter-finals.
