Tom Duthie: England’s problems lie with woeful Hodgson By Tom Duthie June 24 2016, 5:00am June 24 2016, 5:00am Share Tom Duthie: England’s problems lie with woeful Hodgson Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/2619829/tom-duthie-englands-problems-lie-woeful-hodgson/ Copy Link After much consideration and deep thought, I’ve decided what the problem with England’s Euros campaign is. The manager is rotten. OK, I hinted at that before the tournament started, so my saying so will surprise few out there. But nice man that he is, I just can’t fathom how Roy Hodgson has managed to stay in charge of a major international team for four years now. Despite the length of his tenure, he doesn’t have a settled team. And even when he fields the right starting XI, he seems able to find ways of using half of them in the wrong positions. That’s why, after scraping through the groups, I don’t see the English progressing much further. As a Scot, I’m not complaining but were I English I’d be furious about it.
