There was mixed news on the injury front for Montrose as they prepared to host Annan at Links Park this afternoon.
Striker Chris Templeman remains sidelined with a hamstring problem but back into contention comes Andy Steeves, who has recovered from his hamstring injury.
Templeman’s enforced absence is a blow to the Gable Endies as they attempt to get among the goals.
It is the big striker who has scored Montrose’s two League Two counters thus far but they will have to look to others to hit the target when Annan visit this afternoon.
Manager Paul Hegarty is confident the goals will come, though.
He said: “It is still early days and we are only three games into the new league campaign.
“Teams are going to have hiccups, with Falkirk being an example of that in the Championship after a great season last time.
“I’m sure the goals will come for us in time and we just need to be patient and keep creating chances.
“The players have been working really hard and I’m sure they will get their rewards.”
