Raith Rovers face a desperate race against time this morning to avert a keeper crisis ahead of today’s game with Dundee United.
With both of the club’s goalies, Kevin Cuthbert and Aaron Lennox, ruled out through injury, Stark’s Park boss Gary Locke had drafted in former Killie stopper Conor Brennan as emergency cover for the game at Tannadice.
The 22-year-old Northern Irishman only linked up with Raith at their Glenrothes training base on Thursday with the club then needing to request international clearance to have him available for the game at Tannadice.
However, last night, Rovers had still not received the green light and will have to try again this morning to attempt to ensure that Brennan is cleared to take his place between the sticks as the Kirkcaldy side look to continue the winning run that has taken them to the top of the Championship table.
