East Fife assistant Dougie Anderson admitted he couldn’t legislate for the individual errors which are costing the club dearly.
All three goals shipped to Alloa on Saturday were preventable and followed on from last weekend’s defeat to Brechin when, again, the side was sloppy in defence.
The Fife number two said his side’s preparation before the game had been spot on – but it was undone by errors.
Anderson said: “It’s so frustrating. We trained well during the week and had game plan on how we wanted to set up.
“I felt it worked well and we had a lot of possession against a very good team. We limited them to few chances but unfortunately people are making bad decisions and passing it where they didn’t need to.
“It’s something we have to ride out and keep training hard.
“Once we eliminate these mistakes and also get a bit rub of the green in front of goal I’m sure it’ll turn.”
The hosts raced into an early lead and there was a touch of class about their opener.
Former Raith striker Greig Spence picked up the ball on the by-line and chipped a sublime cross into the six yard box.
Jordan Kirkpatrick had the simple task of nodding home.
The home side then made their dominance count as they doubled their advantage.
Jonathan Page upended Spence on the edge of the box and from the free-kick Calum Waters sent his set-piece beyond Goodfellow.
East Fife took a good 35 minutes to settle into the game and were gifted a fantastic chance to pull one back by the Wasps.
Scott Taggart handled six yards from goal and ref Kevin Graham pointed straight to the spot, but from the kick Scott Robinson fired well over the crossbar.
They were made to pay as Alloa grabbed a third on the stroke of half-time when Spence nipped in behind the backline after the Fifers gave the ball away and netted.
Alloa have no doubt added well this term and the League One favourites were in cruise control throughout the second 45.
East Fife tried to get back into the game but never looked like piercing a well-drilled backline.
