Forfar may have won six matches in a row but manager Gary Bollan has stressed there is still room for improvement.
The Loons head south to take on Annan Athletic today as proud leaders of League Two thanks to their 100% start to the campaign.
They also boast a significant scalp taken in the Irn Bru Cup just last weekend, with Championship team Raith Rovers losing out to Bollan’s boys.
While the points and plaudits have been piling up, they have, however, been conceding more goals than the boss would like and he wants that to change.
Bollan said: “I’m not complaining too much because the lads have been great but we can’t keep relying on the forwards to win us games.
“We have need to keep it tighter at the back than we have been doing.
“So there is room for improvement when it comes to conceding goals.
“Overall, though, things have been going really well and I’m pleased.
“We need to keep doing the right things against Annan because they are a decent, well-drilled side who have made a decent start in the league themselves.
“We will have to be at the top of our game when we go down there if we are to keep this winning run going.”
The Loons head to Galabank with plenty of firepower in their side, with both Allan Smith and Jim Lister returning from injury and illness respectively.
Bollan said: “We have Allan and Jim Lister available again for the striking positions.
“Whilst that is a boost I have to be pleased with an attack that scored three times against a Championship side.
“The Irn-Bru Cup and our tie with Welsh side, The New Saints, is now on a back-burner and we will look to return to the league positively.
“We have made a great start and it is really important that we keep that going.”
