Cowdenbeath boss hoping for a silver lining to cup cloud

Cowdenbeath manager Liam Fox is hoping that his side’s Scottish Cup exit to Lowland League side East Kilbride last weekend will bring a silver lining in the shape of a promotion push.
The Blue Brazil went down 1-0 despite their visitors playing for the final half hour with only 10 men and Fox is looking for a win in the Highlands to mark a turning point in their season.
Fox said: “We simply have to get going in the league now. There is no point in looking backwards and dwelling on things, we have to look forward and be positive.
“Losing in the Scottish Cup was not good enough and we have to make up for it by impressing in the league and that starts at Elgin.
“It is a difficult venue against a side that impressed me when we met on the first day of the season but the players know what is expected of them.”
On-loan Hearts midfielder Lewis Moore is expected to return from a thigh injury however Dean Brett and Kenny Adamson remain out. There could be further absentees as Gerry McLauchlan, Shaun Rutherford and Gary Glen are all injury doubts.
