Brechin have received a big injury boost ahead of their top-of-the-table clash against Livingston.
It is first against second at Glebe Park this afternoon and the league-leading Angus men should be able to call upon the services of captain Paul McLean.
McLean was kicked near the end of last Saturday’s victory over Stenhousemuir, the result that sent City to the top of League One.
He was considered a doubt for most of the week but the signs are promising, according to manager Darren Dods.
“It was sore one for Paul and we were worried that he might struggle to make it,” said Dods.
“However, I would say I am now pretty hopeful that he will be available and that’s a boost ahead of such a big match.”
Both sides are coming into the game on the back of fine 3-1 victories, with Brechin seeing off Stenny and Livi defeating Alloa by the same scoreline.
City lost 2-1 down at the Tony Macaroni Arena last month so are hungry to turn the tables and dish out some revenge in what should be a mouth-watering fixture.
Dods added: “This is a match that we can all look forward to and it would be great to win this one after losing down there.
“I feel it will be a good, open game as we like to go forward and I would say Livi are the same.”
