Brechin boss Darren Dods has received a double blow with the news that Alan Trouten and Finn Graham are set to miss the next few weeks through injury.
Influential 31-year-old Trouten, who returned to the Glebe for his second stint with the club in the summer, had to come off after the 52nd minute of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Airdrie.
Dods said: “Alan has hurt his hamstring but hopefully he will only be out for a few weeks as he is an important player for us.”
Graham will also be missing until next month after it was confirmed he had suffered a broken toe in his side’s 3-1 win at Peterhead on November 5.
Graham played for the full 90 minutes at Balmoor but after complaining of continued pain, he was sent for a check-up.
That revealed there was a break with Dods saying: “Finn will need to sit things out for a couple of weeks as the injury was more severe than we first thought.
“Hopefully he will be back during December.”
The defeat against the Diamonds also saw Brechin’s Paul McLean shown a straight red for a lunge on the home side’s Jack Leitch.
While Dods felt it was a severe decision, he will not be appealing it.
The manager added: “It looked harsh but Paul had already been booked so it would have been a second yellow anyway.”
