Raith Rovers have been dealt a blow with the news that next Saturday’s home league match with Morton has been postponed.
The Greenock side were due to play Beith Juniors in the third round of the William Hill Scottish Cup tomorrow but the game has fallen victim to the weather with the pitch at Bellsdale Park frozen.
The tie has been automatically rescheduled for December 3, meaning the Rovers game will be put on hold with no new date scheduled as yet.
Gary Locke’s side had just one home game this month, against Ayr United on Tuesday night.
Only 1,241 hardy fans braved the chilly temperatures at Stark’s and the club would have been hoping for a much bigger turn-out next Saturday for the Morton game to boost their coffers.
Now though, as things stand, Raith’s next home game will not be until December 17 against Dundee United.
