Brechin City without five players for rearranged Scottish Cup tie
ByReporter
Brechin City player/manager Darren Dods will need to piece together a side to take on Championship outfit Ayr United at Glebe Park, as he will be five players down.
Dunfermline have recalled Lewis Spence from his loan spell after Andy Geggan picked up an injury, Paul McLean begins a two game ban and injuries have ruled out Chris O’Neil, Finn Graham and Alan Trouten.
Darren McCormack could be a sixth absentee due to a hamstring problem and Dods will play if he fails to make it.
Dods is not looking for sympathy (or excuses).
He said: “There is no point in complaining or being disappointed we will simply just get on with it.
“Ayr are holding their own in the Championship but we cannot just stand back and say ‘well done’.
“We have to look to be in charge. If we can do that then we will give them a game.”
