There will be another chapter of the Dundee United and Ross County Scottish Cup story written in the new year, with the two clubs paired together in the fourth round draw.
The Tangerines famously defeated the Dingwall side in the 2010 final and, more recently, got the better of them in a thrilling quarter-final of last season’s competition.
They will be back in the Highlands in January and on this occasion it will be a Premiership v Championship clash.
It wasn’t the best tie Ray McKinnon could have hoped for but St Johnstone and Dundee will both be quite happy with their draws.
Saints will entertain either Forres Mechanics or Stenhousemuir at McDiarmid Park, while the Dark Blues also have a home tie against St Mirren or Spartans.
One of the stand-out games will be Raith Rovers against their manager Gary Locke’s old club, Hearts. That one will be played in Kirkcaldy.
Dunfermline’s reward for beating Buckie Thistle is a far shorter journey to Alloa, while East Fife will play at Livingston if they can see off Edinburgh City in their rearranged third round tie.
There’s a potential Angus derby at Glebe Park between Brechin City and Montrose should they get the better of Ayr United and Queen’s Park respectively.
And there’s a realistic possibility that Arbroath could make it through to the fifth round.
Dick Campbell’s men will first have to defeat Clyde and then the winners of Stirling Albion and Wick await them in January.
Holders Hibernian will take on Bonnyrigg Rose or Dumbarton while there are two all-Premiership ties with Rangers facing Motherwell while Kilmarnock take on Hamilton.
