Oscarine Masuluke is a goalkeeper who plays for Baroka FC – and this was him, but on a really good day.
With his side 1-0 down against Orlanda Pirates in the South African Premier Division, and extra time all but up, Masuluke made his way into the Pirates’ penalty area for a last-ditch corner.
The results were truly spectacular.
“Keeper goes on the adventurous route,” says one commentator, before Masuluke slams home his punt.
The 23-year-old latched onto his opposite number’s gloved clearance, allowed the ball to bounce, and then unleashed the future Puskas award-winning goal of the year to earn his side a draw.
“You’ve never seen anything like that in your life,” said his colleague. “Roll cameras, put the spotlights on.”
The celebration’s a bit different as well, isn’t it?
That’s a 96th-minute, bicycle kick equaliser, scored by a goalkeeper. Nothing more, nothing less.
