Cowdenbeath manager Liam Fox believes that beating visitors Berwick Rangers today would help the Blue Brazil transform their season.
Fox’s side defeated Stirling Albion last weekend to climb off bottom spot and the Central Park manager is determined that his side pull themselves closer to the pack that are pushing for a promotion play-off place by beating the Borderers.
He said: “We did really well at Stirling but we cannot stop there.
“The league is split into three groups at the moment, with Forfar away out of their own at the top, four clubs chasing three play-off places and the remaining five all moving from bottom to sixth on a regular basis.
“We want to get into that middle group and to do that we have to build on our win over Stirling and beat Berwick.
“It is a really tight league and we have to look after ourselves in it. We know what it feels like to be at the bottom of the table and how we reacted to it.
“Berwick will be feeling the same and we have to guard against them coming out at our place very determined to show that they should not be there.”
Fox added: “Last Saturday we were helped to our win by Forthbank’s surface being in great condition.
“We could pass the ball around well. Central Park may not be in as good a condition but when we get the chance to play a passing game in the same manner then we should.”
Kenny Adamson remains out with a back injury however everyone else is available to Fox.
There is unlikely to be any new additions ahead of kick off with the Fifers’ boss saying: “We are working hard behind the scenes to get two or three players in but to do that we have to let two or three out.”
