Forfar have already beaten today’s opponents Stirling Albion by a handsome margin twice so far this season.
However manager Gary Bollan believes that will count for nothing against a new-look Forthbank side.
According to the Loons boss the appointment of former St Johnstone defender Dave Mackay has made Stirling much more difficult opponents.
Bollan said: “Dave is beginning to have an impact at Stirling Albion and that was seen with their terrific win over Clyde last weekend.
“They will have seven or eight different players to the last time we played them so we cannot look too much into our previous results.
“They brought Frazer Wright in last week and that will pay dividends as he is a very experienced defender.
“They were always going to be very respected opponents but there is also an element of going a bit into the unknown against them.”
Forfar are seven points clear at the top of League Two and Bollan wants to make sure momentum isn’t lost.
He said: “We will look for the win that keeps things progressing nicely for us. We will not get ahead of ourselves but we have to look after ourselves in that if we win games then we stay at the top of the table.
“It was a difficult game last weekend against a well-organised Annan side but we managed to get the win.
“It was good that again we showed great spirit to come from behind and it was great to have Jim Lister available to start and for him to score an equalising goal.
“Another result like that wouldn’t be the worst”
