Raith Rovers have announced the signing of 21-year-old winger Connor McBride ahead of Saturday’s visit of Inverness.

The Scottish-born forward was most recently with Blackburn Rovers and adds to Ian Murray’s attacking options.

McBride, who is Raith’s ninth summer signing, became a free agent before last night’s deadline and signs until the end of the season.

A couple of weeks ago Murray expressed a desire to bring in another winger.

That was followed by the departure of forward Dario Zanatta to Hamilton.

Journey to Blackburn

McBride – who spent time on loan at Queen’s Park last season as they were promoted from League 1 – goes straight into the squad for the clash with Inverness after international clearance was given.

McBride was on loan at Queen’s Park last season.

Starting off as a youth at Falkirk, McBride joined Celtic’s under-20s where he was sent on loan to Stenhousemuir for six months.

He then signed for Blackburn before appearing turning out for Queen’s Park last season as they were promoted via the play-offs.

Murray is still looking to add one or two more players to his squad and is also hoping to soon welcome back some of his injured players.
