Football One in and one out for Brechin City By Eric Nicolson February 25 2017, 9:00am February 25 2017, 9:00am Share One in and one out for Brechin City Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/376520/one-one-brechin-city/ Copy Link Darren Dods. It wasn’t that long ago Brechin City were able to welcome Alan Trouten back into their team. But now they will have to do without him for another two matches. The attacking midfielder was given a straight red card in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to East Fife last weekend. So he’ll be unavailable for the trip to Stranraer today, and the midweek visit of Queen’s Park. For manager Darren Dods it will be a case of one in and one out of his squad. He explained: “Alan had just come back for us so it’s disappointing that we’re going to lose him for a couple of games so soon. “But Ally Love is available again.” The results may not be showing it just now but Dods has been encouraged by recent performances. He said: “Obviously it was disappointing to lose three goals and the game but we scored twice, as we did the week before. “It wasn’t that long ago that we were struggling to score goals or create chances. “We’ve got three games in a week and we’re looking to take advantage of an opportunity to move up the table. “We’ve beaten Stranraer twice this season but they’re unbeaten under their new manager (Stevie Farrell).”
