East Fife manager Barry Smith returns to his former club Alloa tonight for the first time.
And he is playing down talk of a promotion push from the Fifers despite a 10-game unbeaten run.
The Bayview men could go third tonight but Smith said: “I am not looking that far ahead or at league positions.
“We will take things one game at a time and see where we end up. We have come a long way as a group since I came in a couple of months ago but there is still a lot of work to be done.
“We had a tough game at Peterhead on Saturday and it was disappointing to only get a draw after going ahead in the game whereas Alloa had a great result.”
Smith added: “I know some of the Alloa players from my time there and of course Greig Spence has left and come back. He has scored a lot of goals this season and that is not a surprise to me as he is a very good striker.
“However if my players go out and give everything as they have in all the games that I have been in charge for then we have a chance.”
Pat Slattery is a doubt after being injured at Balmoor, with Kyle Wilkie and Tony Wallace definitely sidelined.
