Raith Rovers playmaker Dylan Easton is “feeling good” after a niggling injury slightly hampered his season.
The 28-year-old has been dealing with issues related to a lower back injury he picked up playing for Airdrie last season.
A trip to a specialist has solved the issue, which means Easton can get back to doing what he does best: playing football.
He needs a very good excuse to sit out.
“I tend to play through anything unless it’s a serious injury,” Easton tells Courier Sport.
“I hate missing training and football, it just plays with me mentally.
“I’d rather just get through it and play on.”
Part of the reason the midfielder picks up so many knocks is due to him often being the target of opposition players.
Easton’s trickery means he wins more fouls than your average footballer.
“The type of player I am, I’ve always been used to it,” he adds.
“But then it isolates other players and creates space for them if boys are targeting me.”
Rovers are one of two form sides in the division as they prepare to welcome Partick Thistle to Stark’s Park this weekend.

After a tough start Murray’s men have won four and drawn one of their last seven in all competitions.
Slow burn
Easton, having spent time under the manager at the Excelsior last season, always knew it would take time.
“We had a lot of injuries at the start,” says Easton.
“Most of the boys are back and we’re gelling and there’s competition for places.
“When there’s competition for places it pushes boys on even further.
“We’re starting to click.
“If we keep performing like that then we’ll take more points than we’ll lose.”
“I said it to the boys from last season, when I was at Airdrie I don’t think we won a game for the first five/six games.
“Then we went 21 games unbeaten.
“So I said to them ‘it takes time’ – and I think they’re starting to slowly pick it up and register it.”
