Raith Rovers boss Ian Murray hailed his side’s “hugely important” win over Hamilton and he’s backing them to continue their fine run of form.
An early goal from Dylan Easton got the afternoon off to a flying start, firing a sublime shot into the top corner.
The home side could have doubled their lead but found themselves pegged back on 17 minutes. Jean Pierre Tiehi turned his man to slot past Jamie MacDonald.
The second half was more positive with Aidan Connolly restoring Raith’s lead before Liam Dick turned in Lewis Vaughan’s cross to complete the scoring at 3-1.
Murray backs side to continue form
Boss Murray heaped praise on his side’s goalscorers and believes they will continue to put in similar performances after making it four games unbeaten.
“It was a hugely important win for us,” he said
“It was really important that we followed last weekend’s three points with another good performance, because getting a result is sometimes out of your control.
“The players were magnificent again.
“There was some pressure on them before the game and more so at half time but they stuck to what they believed in.
“I’m delighted for Dylan, cutting in with his right foot.
“The third goal is also really good; really imaginative play from Lewis Vaughan.
“He’s so clever with the football.

“I’m delighted for Liam Dick getting his goal as well because he has been absolutely immense for us at centre-half in the last few weeks in a position that is not his primary position.
“The result is keeping us bubbling along nicely but there is still a long way to go.
“This league, as we’ve seen with other teams, can throw you really quickly.
“So far, we’ve not been a team that has gone on a run of bad results and I don’t see that happening with this group of players.”
Third in Championship
The result saw the Kirkcaldy side jump four places up to third.
Raith now sit on 22 points along with Morton, Dundee and Inverness, with just six goals separating second and fifth place.
Rovers’ current position is in contrast to the first to games of the season when the propped up the table.
The past few weeks have seen Murray’s side put some decent results together, but he is not getting too carried away.
It’s another three point Saturday at Stark’s Park after goals from @DylanEaston31, @aidanconnolly3 and @LiamDick‼️

“The league table has never really concerned us,” he said. “We were bottom after a couple of games and we’ve been moving up slowly.
“Today was our first opportunity to have destiny in our own hands, because we knew if we won we would move up at least two places.
“We did that but we’re not going to get too excited about being third at the moment.
“If there’s two or three games to go and you’re three points off the top then you can get a little bit excited and you think you can go on and do better.
“But at the moment it’s just a league table and numbers to me. I’m more pleased with the performances of the players in the last four or five weeks.
“Their attitude and work-rate has been immense but their quality has been really, really good as well.”
