New Cowdenbeath manager Gary Locke will look to keep the Fifers’ revival going with a win over Montrose at Central Park.
The Blue Brazil looked to be bottom of the league certainties before Locke took over.
But a win at Berwick last weekend and a midweek draw in difficult circumstances with Elgin has brought optimism back.
Locke said: “The boys did well on Tuesday when you consider our preparation was a shambles after the incident on the Forth Road Bridge. At one stage we only had five players present and at 7.15pm I thought that we would have to ask for a cancellation and not just a delay.
“I thought that I was going to have to alter the line-up drastically but most of the boys finally arrived and then got a 10-minute warm-up. Brian Ross never made it and with all that going on it was no surprise that we started in a sluggish fashion and fell a goal behind.
“However to be fair to the players they responded really well. We got a good response at Berwick last Saturday after I came in and in midweek we got a good response again.”
Locke added: “The character of the players has been challenged a lot this season but they have shown me that they have bags of it.
“There is a lot to be positive about and if we can get the same level of display against Montrose then we can add to the four points that we have picked up already.
“I said when I came in that I wanted the players to make a fight of things and they are doing that.”
Kenny Adamson remains out with a back injury, with everyone else available for selection.
