Harry Souttar is in the midst of the biggest tournament of his life as part of the Australia World Cup squad in Qatar.
But he has never forgotten his humble Brechin City roots and continues to support the Angus side from afar.
Souttar and elder older brother John – now at Rangers – are both season ticket holders and shareholders of the Highland League side.
Harry also chose to have Brechin City’s name emblazoned on the door plaque of his Qatar hotel room as a nod to his first club.
Souttar is gearing up to face France, Denmark and Tunisia in Group D.
But Harry will give up his time to dial in for a live video Q & A from the Socceroos base camp at Brechin’s celebratory World Cup lunch at Carnoustie Golf Hotel on Friday.
🍾 We have just one table remaining for what promises to be a hugely enjoyable afternoon next week at the @cargolfhotel for our Sportmans Lunch.

“The Souttars are big supporters of the club,” said Brechin chairman Kevin Mackie.
“They have season tickets and subscribed to shares last year. They are proud of their Brechin background.
“Harry sent us a photo of the plaque on his room at the Australia World Cup camp where it mentions the fact he came up through the boys club here.
“John is helping us out with the dinner and got us a signed pair of Allan McGregor gloves and they’ll both be on for a Q&A on Friday.
Harry Souttar live from World Cup base camp
“We’ll have John from Scotland and, as long as our communications work, Harry will be beamed live from Qatar.
“It’s the biggest tournament of Harry’s career but he’s still keen to help Brechin.
“Harry, John and Ryan Gauld all came through the boys club. We had Euan Spark and have had Craig Levein and Michael O’Neill involved.
“An awful lot of good has come out of this club and it’s sometimes easy for people to forget that.
“How many clubs like ours can say they’ve had someone who has gone from being in charge of Brechin to, two jobs later, leading a national side out at the Euros?
“All of these people are great supporters of Brechin.
“Harry left here and has, ultimately, gone onto succeed both at Stoke City and at international level.
“It’s inspiring for all youngsters in our area to see that Harry from Brechin is now playing for Australia at the World Cup.”
