Brechin City have received a big boost ahead of their Ladbrokes Championship play-off semi-final against Raith with the news that star striker Andy Jackson has signed a two-year contract extension.
The former St Johnstone front man is City’s top goal-scorer this season and manager Darren Dods admitted he was delighted the 29-year-old has pledged his future to the club.
The Glebe gaffer said: “Andy is a big player in this league and has helped us greatly with our aim of reaching the Championship play-off semi-finals.
“With Paul MacLean, Graeme Smith and Ally Love already signed up for next season, keeping Andy at the club provides us with a strong foundation for building next season’s squad.
“I am delighted to secure him for another two seasons.”
