Dunfermline boss Allan Johnston has bolstered his squad with the addition of striker Declan McManus and midfielder Aaron Splaine. Twenty-two-year-old McManus spent last season on loan from English side Fleetwood Town at Fife rivals Raith Rovers. He scored nine goals in 41 appearances for the Kirkcaldy club but was released by his parent club at the end of the campaign. McManus, who started his career at Aberdeen and has also had loan spells at Alloa and Morton, has signed a one-year deal with the Pars. Splaine, who’s 20, was released by Johnston’s former club Kilmarnock at the end of the 2015/16 season.
