Brechin boss Darren Dods is hoping the fact his side will be playing in the Championship this season will help when trying to bring players in on loan.
Previously, being a League 1 team proved to be a stumbling block when the manager had approached Premiership sides about the availability of players.
Now, though, with Brechin having won promotion at the end of last season, Dods is hoping the club will be an easier sell.
He said: “We have successfully brought players in on loan before.
“However, the fact that we are now in the Championship should help us even more.
“In the past, we have approached Premiership clubs to enquire about some of their Under-20 players only to be told that they wanted their lads to be playing in the Championship not League 1.
“So hopefully being in that league now will work to our advantage.
“I am still looking to bring a couple of permanent signings in before the start of the season but the loan market is one we will definitely be looking at.”
