Gavin Swankie has signed for his old club Arbroath after walking out on Forfar.
The 33-year-old was captain of the Station Park side, and made nearly 200 appearances for them, but was placed on the transfer list after deciding he wanted to move on.
The ex-Dundee and St Johnstone forward, who originally crossed the Angus divide in the other direction, will now link up again with the man who took him to Forfar, Dick Campbell.
An Arbroath statement confirmed: “Arbroath FC are delighted to announce the return of Gavin Swankie to Gayfield.
“Arbroath born Gavin will once again be reunited with Steven Doris who he formed a key partnership as we won our first championship in the 2010-2011 season. Gavin won Third division player of the year for that season and finished as top scorer in the league as the Lichties won their first ever league title.
“Gavin has already made over 186 appearances for Arbroath with 48 goals and numerous assists.
“Everyone at Arbroath FC would like to give Gavin a very warm welcome as he returns home.”
