Brechin midfielder Liam Watt will miss the start of the season after breaking his wrist in a closed-doors game.
Watt (23) was expected to be a big player for Championship newcomers City when the action kicked off later this month.
However, he suffered a broken wrist during Wednesday’s friendly against East Kilbride.
Watt will be sidelined for at least six weeks and that means he will miss the July Betfred Cup ties against Inverness, Forfar, Stirling Albion and Falkirk, as well as the league opener away to Queen of the South on August 5 and the home clash with Livingston the following Saturday.
