Brechin City can leapfrog opponents Stirling Albion with a win in tonight’s Betfred Cup clash at Forthbank.
The Glebe Park men, who have been coached by assistant boss Lee Bailey while manager Darren Dods has been on holiday, currently sit two points behind Albion in Group A, with their hosts having played a game more.
City will have to bounce back from Sunday’s home 4-1 friendly defeat to Aberdeen, with just a late Ally Love goal giving them any consolation in that match.
Their cup results thus far have seen the Angus men lost 3-0 to Inverness Caley Thistle in the Highlands and draw 1-1 at home to Forfar, earning the bonus point with a penalty shoot-out success at the Glebe.
