The Arbroath players got a lesson on a few aspects of the game against Hibs in midweek.
And Dick Campbell wants to see if they have learned from it when they come up against another Premiership side this afternoon.
Ross County are the Red Lichties’ last Betfred Cup opponents and Campbell wants to finish the group games on a high.
He said: “I thought six was a bit harsh on us at Easter Road.
“The big difference was that when they got chances they took them.
“Hibs were fitter and quicker than us as well.
“Obviously it’s always going to be tough against Premiership opposition but hopefully we’ll be better against Ross County.
“We’re the underdogs again and we’ll see if we’ve improved.”
Colin Hamilton, Mark Whatley and Ricky Gomes are all out. David Hutton will be in goals.
Gavin Malin has left the club and joined Edinburgh City.
Campbell added: “We’re where I would have hoped to be at this stage and I’m looking forward to getting a full week next week with no games before the start of the league season.”
