Brechin boss Darren Dods hopes long day will be worthwhile

Brechin manager Darren Dods is determined that a long day for his players is a worthwhile one, with progression to the second round of the Irn-Bru Cup at the expense of hosts Buckie Thistle.
Dods explained: “The game does not kick off to 8pm so some of our players will not be home until the early hours of the morning.
“They will certainly not want extra-time and penalties and the best way to avoid that is by winning in the 90 minutes.
“Buckie picked up great experience in the Betfred Cup at the start of the season so this will be a difficult tie.
“However, we showed a lot of spirit in our 2-2 draw with Livingston at the weekend and we need to ensure that spirit is on display again.”
