Brechin manager Darren Dods says there is more to come from his battling side after they came from behind to draw with Falkirk.
Dods said: “Against a full-time team we had the momentum and the confidence and looked the more likely to win the game.
“We now need to kick on and I feel there is more to come from my side.
“Ryan McGeever was outstanding at the back after a spell out due to suspension and a broken hand. He was the best centre-half in League One last season.
“We were unfortunate to lose Paul McLean to injury and I hope he will not be out for too long.”
Brechin were unlucky in seven minutes when a curling shot from Kalvin Orsi hit the bar and Finn Graham headed the rebound wide.
Falkirk scored on 15 minutes. Alex Harris burst into the box after an exchange of passes with Rory Loy and found the net with a low drive.
The visitors squandered two great chances in the last two minutes of the first half.
First Nathan Austin ran clear and shot wide, then Harris also failed to hit the target from an even better position.
Brechin upped their game in the second half and Jordan Sinclair had a shot deflected wide.
Brechin levelled on 72 minutes when Graham netted from close range after a spell of intense pressure.
A minute from time, a shot from Craig Sibbald was turned round the post by home keeper Graeme Smith.
Two minutes into added time, Brechin almost snatched all three points. Isaac Layne was through on Robbie Thomson, but shot straight at the keeper.
Falkirk boss Peter Houston said: “We totally dominated the first half but in the second we were abysmal.”
