Arbroath boss Dick Campbell has received a boost after it was confirmed striker Steven Doris did not suffer a broken leg against Albion Rovers at the weekend.
The 29-year-old was stretchered off after falling awkwardly in the first half of the game the Red Lichties lost 4-1.
Doris was taken to hospital with Campbell admitting after the game that he feared the player had suffered a serious injury that could see him sidelined for months.
The Arbroath squad was already stretched with Josh Skelly and Bryan Prunty out injured but Campbell has now revealed there is better news regarding Doris.
He said: “Thankfully, Steven has not broken anything.
“That is a big relief but he will still be out for three weeks along with Prunty and Skelly.”
