Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has been called into the Scotland squad for next month’s World Cup double-header against Slovakia and Slovenia.
The uncapped defender has been included in his second squad after first joining Gordon Strachan’s pool in March.
Cooper is in for Russell Martin, who has not featured for Norwich City since a 4-0 defeat by Millwall on August 26.
Another Norwich player, Steven Naismith, and Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney have also dropped out.
Hull City keeper Allan McGregor is included for the qualifiers after missing out through injury last time around, with fellow Tigers shot-stopper David Marshall not included.
The Scots host the Slovaks at Hampden on Thursday, October 5 then travel to face the Slovenians on Sunday 8th.
