Young Dunfermline striker Callum Smith is being tracked by English clubs West Brom and Bristol City, Courier Sport can reveal.
The 17-year-old has broken into the first team at East End Park this season and has scored twice for the Pars, helping them hit the top of the Championship.
His form has resulted in call-ups to the Scotland under-19 squad and now big clubs down south are taking notice.
Both the Baggies and Bristol sent scouts to Glebe Park on Saturday, where Smith came off the bench in the 3-0 win against Brechin City. And that wasn’t the first time they have checked out the teenager in action.
