Forfar’s interim management duo are hoping that fate deals them a kinder hand in their second game in charge than it did in their first.
After suffering a heavy defeat against East Fife last weekend, Barry Sellars and Stuart Balmer will be back in the dugout for the visit of Stranraer today.
Sellars said: “We have had a good week of training and moved on from losing 3-0 at East Fife.
“The players cannot be faulted for their effort but anything that could have gone wrong in that game went wrong.
“It was a day when, despite the best intentions, nothing went in our favour however it is all about looking forward now.”
The Stair Park men are also coming off a bad result, in their case a 6-2 defeat to Arbroath.
Sellars added: “Stranraer must have had a similar day to us. This is a crazy league where you have two full-time teams that are expected to win every game and then eight teams who are capable of beating each other.
“Arbroath have been terrific in their last two away games but lost four goals in their last home game with Albion Rovers and that shows the level of unpredictability.
“We are facing capable opponents, however if we get the same level of effort as last week but get a couple of breaks then we can win this game.”
Mensing looks set to miss out, with Kennedy suspended and Grant Adam also sidelined.
