Forfar boss Jim Weir happy to wait before appointing assistant

New Forfar boss Jim Weir will take his time before bringing in an assistant manager after his initial selection Gavin Price opted to take on the Elgin City’s manager’s job.
Price was due to join former Borough Briggs gaffer Weir at Station Park.
However, he has agreed to stay on at Elgin, with Weir choosing to work with youth coach Barry Sellars and experienced defender Simon Mensing as opposed to rushing to make a new appointment.
Weir explained: “I had thought Gavin was coming to Forfar however that all changed last midweek.
“We had a game with Queen’s Park to prepare for so Barry who knows the club well and Simon who has a UEFA B coaching licence helped out for that one.
“We will continue on that basis for the next couple of weeks and reassess things then.”
