Cowdenbeath head to Edinburgh City determined to reach a milestone in Gary Bollan’s second game in charge.
A win in the capital would see the Blue Brazil climb above their hosts and lift morale at the Fife club.
Bollan said: “We have a target to hit and whilst it does not mean too much just now we would like to get off the bottom of the table.
“We have the chance to do that with a win at Edinburgh City and we want to take it.”
In Bollan’s first game the Central Park men came back from a goal down to draw with Annan and the former Livingston, Airdrie and Forfar boss was pleased with what he saw.
He said: “We have a decent platform to build on. We could have and probably should have been off the bottom last weekend but we had to settle for the draw.
“The players worked really hard last weekend and they have set the bar at a good level in terms of their effort and commitment. We know now what to expect as a minimum.”
Bollan added: “I know a bit about Edinburgh City as Forfar played them six times last season.
“They have added a lot of experience and this will be a really difficult game.”
Former Celtic, Dundee and Norwich midfielder Mark Fotheringham, who has taken on a playing and assistant manager role at the club, is included in the squad.
Connor Scullion is a trialist and Fraser Mullen is back from a ban.
