Brechin boss Darren Dods believes transfer window can boost survival bid

Darren Dods insists Brechin City can still win their battle for Championship survival – if they can sign the right players next month.
The Angus outfit are still waiting for their first victory since promotion from League One via the play-offs in the summer.
With only three points to their name all season, the Glebe Park men are eight points adrift of second-bottom Falkirk and a massive 16 below Dumbarton in eighth.
But, after pushing Dunfermline close in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat, defiant Dods believes there remains a glimmer of hope for his side as they prepare for the visit of Inverness Caley Thistle on Saturday.
He said: “We are definitely improving, each wee bit, week-in, week-out.
“And if we can keep improving week-in, week-out, and get a few players in in January, then I’m sure we can get the right results and start closing the gap to the teams above us.
“I think we take positives out of the second-half against Dunfermline.
“It showed that if we don’t sit off teams and we get tighter to them that we can force them into mistakes.
“And when we do win it we do have pace in Isaac Layne and Connor McLennan to cause teams problems.”
