East Fife head to Gayfield looking to secure a hat-trick of wins over Arbroath this season, with manager Darren Young looking to fix problems that have emerged in his side’s recent games.
Young said: “We have enjoyed two good wins over Arbroath and that is a good and a bad thing. Of course we will take confidence from those results and look for a third success however Arbroath will be incredibly determined to beat us.
“Both teams have slipped out of the top four and want to get back there.”
He added: “I also want us to end 2017 in a positive fashion as the second quarter in the league has been disappointing in terms of results. There were probably only two of the nine games where we did not play that well.
“However we did not amass the points some of the good football that we deserved, especially when you consider the heights we hit when we beat Airdrie 6-1.
“The biggest finding from the quarter was that we failed to keep a clean sheet and we need to start putting that right against Arbroath.”
The Bayview men are without Craig Watson and Pat Slattery, with Aaron Dunsmore a major doubt.
