Arbroath boss Dick Campbell admits he will have to shuffle his pack once more as his side continue to negotiate a gruelling fixture schedule with tonight’s game against Albion Rovers.
However, the manager is confident he has a strong enough squad to come up trumps no matter who wins the final nod at Cliftonhill.
The Red Lichties extended their unbeaten run in League 1 to nine games on Saturday thanks to their 2-2 draw at the home of table-topping Raith Rovers with Leighton McIntosh coming off the bench to score a last-gasp equaliser.
Now, Campbell, who is currently serving a touchline ban, is looking for his side to make it a prefect 10 against Brian Kerr’s side this evening and further cement their place in third spot.
The Gayfield gaffer said: “I thought a draw was a fair result against Raith on Saturday.
“They are the league leaders and have a great record at home this season, so it was good to get a point and keep our unbeaten run going.
“We are experienced enough to know exactly what to expect against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill.
“Hopefully the weather will allow the game to go ahead as planned as we already have a hectic fixture schedule with Ayr to come on Saturday and then another tough game the following Tuesday at Alloa.”
Campbell added: “However, we are fully focused on Albion Rovers and I will make changes again.
“I freshened things up against Raith Rovers at the weekend but we have a strong enough squad to do so.
“There is a chance that I may decide to have Bobby Linn, Danny Denholm, Gavin Swankie, Josh Skelly and Ryan McCord on the bench at Cliftonhill.
“That speaks volumes about the squad I have at my disposal and it is as strong as it gets.
“We are nine games unbeaten in the league but we know we will have to be at our best against Albion Rovers.
“I will be watching from the stand once again which is frustrating for me but the players certainly do not seem to be missing me at the moment.
“My brother Ian and John Young have bags of experience in the dug-out – they’re probably enjoying the chance to get a word in with me away.”
Arbroath have no injury concerns.
