East Fife boss looking to right a few wrongs

East Fife manager Darren Young is looking to right a number of wrongs when his side meet bottom placed Queen’s Park at Hampden.

The Bayview boss is still annoyed that his side have nothing to show from their last two outings against second placed Raith Rovers and table-topping Ayr United, and he also wants to ensure that the Spiders do not complete a clean sweep over his men this season.

Young said: “To play as well as we have done against the two top teams in the league and not get anything is incredible.

“I would have been disappointed with a point from each game so to get none is hard to accept.

“The players deserved more but if you do not show a clinical enough side to your game then you get punished.

“Hopefully we can show that we have learned in our final four games.”

Young also wants East Fife to stop Gus MacPherson’s side being one of their two bogey teams.

“We have lost nine points to Queen’s Park this season and lost nine points to Forfar,” he said. “They are two teams that have been near the foot of the table all season and we have not got the better of them.

“Our record against them is disappointing and if we have picked up half of the points on offer then we would be a lot closer to the play-off chase.

“I want East Fife to win as many games as possible between now and the end of the season, starting with this one.”

Mark Docherty is still out.
