Cowdenbeath head to Peterhead this afternoon with the two teams needing wins for very different reasons.
Three points are required for the Blue Brazil to reatin any hope of avoiding the pyramid play-off, while the hosts are trying to keep the League Two title race alive after Montrose pulled three points clear.
Gary Bollan’s side are coming off a 3-0 midweek defeat to the leaders, with the Central park manager saying: “We were disappointed in the dressing room after the Montrose game but nothing will linger and the spirit is ok.
“We have the will to keep going and that is what we will do.
“Our performance was disappointing as we did not play to the standard we have been setting in recent games. We were not as good defensively as we had been and we were punished for it quite severely.
“We are fortunate to have a game so quickly after that disappointment and we are determined to make the most of it.”
Bollan believes that their hosts will also be feeling pressure.
He said: “It is a game that Peterhead have to win if they are to meet their own ambitions for the season. There is a lot of pressure on them to succeed and a lot of pressure on us to keep our fight going.
“If we can get back to the level of performance we showed just last Saturday against Clyde then we will give ourselves the chance of winning. Everything else is out of our hands.”
Kyle Miller returns from suspension, while Blair Malcolm and Brandon Luke should also be available.
