Raith defender Kyle Benedictus has signed a new one-year deal with the club.
The 26-year-old former Dundee centre-half missed most of last season after suffering a fractured fibula back in September during a game with Ayr United.
He returned to the side in February as Raith agonisingly missed out on promotion.
Now though he has agreed to stay with the club.
Benedictus said: “As soon as last season ended, I was keen to extend my stay at Raith Rovers and get the club promoted back to the Championship.”
Rovers manager Barry Smith added: “I’m happy to have secured the services of Kyle – his experience in defence will be a key asset as we look to get promoted from League 1 in the new season.”
