Arbroath boss Dick Campbell has increased his striking options with the addition of Callum Smith on loan from Championship side Dunfermline.
The 18-year-old goes straight into the Red Lichties squad for tomorrow’s League 1 match at East Fife.
Smith spent part of last season on loan at Alloa and played twice against Arbroath with mixed results – he was sent off in the first game in February and then scored for the Wasps against Campbell’s team a month later.
The veteran manager said: “I am delighted to be able to bring Callum in from Dunfermline until the end of the season.
“He is still young but he has experience in the Championship.
“He will add further quality to our squad and comes straight into contention for our game against East Fife on Saturday.
“I am still hopeful of adding another player before the transfer window closes next Friday.”
