Forfar are looking to defeat hosts Stenhousemuir and get back on track after a 4-0 reverse from East Fife in their last outing a fortnight ago.
Jim Weir’s side have now gone four games in League 1 without a win and enough is enough for the Loons boss.
Weir said: “We have to look to get going again as losing 4-0 at home is never a good result.
“It was a strange game as at one stage I thought it was heading for a 4-4 draw.
“I was struggling to understand how we could have been two goals down as we had created so many good chances.
“We deserved to be level at that stage but disappointingly when it became 3-0 just before half-time we never looked like getting back into things. Defensively, however, we were not strong enough throughout.”
A 5-5 draw with Peterhead in a bounce game during the international break will have done little to ease Weir’s fears over his defence and the Station Park manager is looking for better at Ochilview.
Weir added: “We have to be stronger in defence and that means everyone in the team. We cannot give away the soft goals we have been giving away and expect to take anything from games.”
“I am usually confident that we will score, so I will put the East Fife game down to an off day from the attack. However, we can go to Stenhousemuir and win.
“Stenhousemuir will have taken a lift from beating Montrose in the manner that they did in their last game.
“They were leading until the last minute and then were pegged back but they went up the park and scored again.
“That win took them off the bottom and also above us. We will look to get back ahead by winning this one.”
Michael Kennedy remains out through injury, as does striker Matty Aitken with Andy Munro set for a fitness test ahead of kick-off.
