Dundee’s four-game winless run is over after a nervy 4-3 victory over in-form Dunfermline.
The Dark Blues are now on the same points total as the Pars and only out of the play-off places on goal difference.
The hosts looked to have given their fans a rare stress-free afternoon when they raced into a 4-1 lead.
An own goal by Danny Devine put Dundee ahead early on but former Dundee United man Ryan Dow quickly equalised.
Goals by Kane Hemmings and Paul McGowan put James McPake’s men 3-1 up at the break and the fourth goal was scored by Danny Johnson early in the second half.
Nothing is simple for Dundee these days, though.
Kevin Nisbet and Lewis Martin brought the visitors back to 4-3 with plenty of time for an equaliser but they couldn’t do it and weren’t helped by Greg Kiltie’s red card with half an hour to go.
