Dundee will kick off their 2020/21 Championship campaign with a crunch clash away to promotion rivals Hearts on October 17.
The SPFL lower league fixtures, released this afternoon, also revealed the Dark Blues first home opponents will be Greenock Morton on October 24.
After the coronavirus shutdown denied the Dee a shot at promotion through the play-offs last season, they are desperate to ensure they return to the Premiership this term.
They have 27 games to achieve their aim, with their campaign set to conclude against Queen of the South on April 30.
