The Dens Park boss is set to persist with the defensive formation when the Dark Blues resume their season away to Partick Thistle on Saturday. It may not have provided a base for a victory to take them into the top six, but Hartley is confident that it is worth keeping nonetheless. He explained: “It suits the players we have in the squad right now. “It’s something we’re going to keep playing. “We tried it a couple of times earlier in the season and I thought it worked well in the defeat to Aberdeen. “Maybe over the last couple of games the players have really started to buy into it.” Hartley added: “It’s something I like. It’s a system I feel can be successful for this team moving forward.” Meanwhile, Rory Loy and Paul McGinn are injury doubts for the trip to Firhill.
